What's Quickbooks?
QuickBooks is an accounting platform used for journaling. By integrating Buddy, you can send payroll bills or journals directly to QuickBooks, saving time from manual input and reducing human-errors.
Integrating Buddy with Quickbooks
- Go to Integrations Page
- Connect to QuickBooks
- Select Company and click Connect
- Verify Connection
Once connected, you can Import your Quickbooks configuration.

Journal Description Template
The description template determines if your journal will be sent as a grouped report or detailed report (separate lines for each employee).
Use Employee Count variable (by writing @ Employee Count) to use a grouped report.
Use Employee Name to send individualised data with employee names in the description for more detail.
You can use other variables (like Role) based on your preference.
Sending Data to QuickBooks
After having concluded payroll, from Payroll History you can:
- Click Actions
- Select Send to Quickbooks
You'll be notified immediately about the success or failure of the data sync.
