Importing EPS
Importing EPS is an essential step as this allows Buddy to update the Employment Allowance claim and ensure that future tax forms include all annual data.
Before proceeding, you are required to import the Totals to Date details for the employees
From the Tax Forms page, select Import Tax Forms.
EPS XML Upload
If you can export a direct submission file from your previous system, this is the quickest option.
Select or drop your file in the window, and upload. This should take a few seconds, depending on how many employees the company has.
Once it's successfully imported, you will be able to view the P32 for the uploaded EPS.
EPS Excel Import
Excel import is great to import data if it is exported from a spreadsheet.
Start by selecting the EPS Excel Import in Buddy. From there, download Buddy's EPS Import Template.
- Fill in the Period as the end-date of the tax month, such as 05/12/2024 for November 2024
- Other Date Formats, such as YYYY-MM-DD, are accepted. Ensure these are saved as Date Formats
- Copy and insert the other EPS details, such as Parent Relayed Pay, CIS Deductions, and Employment Allowance
- Download your updated file
- Drag and Upload the file onto Buddy
Once confirmed, you can access the P32 page to find the imported values. Note that these can be updated using the Manual Process below.
EPS Manual Import
To upload EPS manually, select the Manual Method.
Then, choose the Tax Year and the Period.
After selecting the period, insert the relevant values, as shown in the screen below. Here, you may also update the Employment Allowance claimed and remaining.
Updating Imported EPS
