Invite clients to view and manage their company from the Permissions page. On the same page, you can customise the permission level.
Inviting a Client
To invite a Client to access the company's Buddy Account:
- Go to the Permissions page
- Click Invite Manager at the top right corner of the People page
- Input their name and email address
- Click Invite
- The client will receive an email to set a password and login
Once they log in, they will be able to access that company
Changing User Permissions
There are three levels of permissions which can be set for each page:
- Write (Pencil Icon): The user can view and edit this section
- Read (Eye Icon): The user can view this section but cannot save any changes
- None (No/Cancel Icon): The user cannot view or edit anything within this section
The only exemption to the above is the Payroll Review column, which determines the invited user's approval level.
To change any permission, click on the icon within the table.
Once all the settings appear as you would like them to, click Save to have these permissions take effect.
Payroll Collaboration Permissions
At the top of the permission page, you can toggle:
- Allow Client to Submit Payroll Data
(Advisor-Client Collaboration: Payroll Data via Client Workbooks) - Allow Client to Review Payroll
(Advisor-Client Collaboration: Sending Payroll for Review) - Number of Approval Groups
When enabling client review or approval groups, you will need to revise and toggle which invited user will be responsible for the payroll review at each level.
The numeric value indicates this. In the screenshot included earlier above, you will notice that for Single Approval, this will show as a 1 icon.
Payroll Data Permission
The Payroll Data permissions must be enabled for payroll reviewers.
The edit access is tailored to allow users to update the statuses of payrolls (e.g., by approving or rejecting them).
However, this will not allow users to use Payroll History actions, such as sending payslips or data to integrated software.
