On each of your clients, can enable vacation management to allow employees to book leave directly from their account. Their managers can then approve leave, and your payroll will have the leave data synced without additional effort.
Note: This requires the company to be on a Collaborator plan.
Employee Accounts
When enabling leave management for employees, this will only be enabled for employees with a Buddy account. It is recommended that all managers are invited to their accounts before proceeding with the following steps.

Enabling Leave Application Settings
Here are the requirements and steps to set employees to apply for leave:
- Each employee needs to be assigned to a department. This can be checked from the People page or Employee data reports.
- Within the Departments Section, assign the managers who will receive notifications and approve leave for that department.
Note: Only employees with invited accounts can be selected as managers.
- Ensure that each manager has a company email address included in their personal details.
This is the email under which they will receive notifications of leave applications.
- From the Settings Page, you can enable the Leave Application Settings (for Employee Portal). This has toggles such as whether letting managers and/or employees to apply leave, and limitations based on balances.
After saving the above settings, you may want to check with the managers to ensure they have access and understand how to approve or apply for leave directly.
