Leave Application Settings
The second part of the Company Leave Settings focuses on what employees and managers can apply or view on their leave portal.
Leave Lock Dates
The Leave Lock Date and Future Leave Lock Date are dates to lock any further leave applications before the Lock Date or after the Future Date. This means that any leave to be booked outside this range would have to be added by those who have access to the Payroll Account but not by employees or Department Managers.
Leave Rights
The bottom section includes four toggles for each leave type:
- Manager Can Apply/Approve
- Employee Can Apply
- Show Balance in Portal
- Can Apply if Balance Available
Most of these are self-explanatory. The last option only allows employees to apply for leave if they have a remaining balance available - this requires the third option as well, as then employees would be required to know how many hours are left for them to apply accordingly.
