Zendesk
Zendesk is the support platform that Buddy's support agents use to manage support tickets as well as the Help Centre articles. One of its features is that the customer can log into their account to view the current state of each ticket they have created or are CC'd on.
Single Sign-On
Buddy has now introduced a single-sign on feature. This means, when accessing our support page, you will no longer have to register a new account for Zendesk. Instead, you will be redirected to login through Buddy, which will automatically link your account.
We have also updated our guide on Accessing your Buddy Support Account on Zendesk to reflect this change.
Updated Menu
To make these tickets even more accessible, we have added a new button to our main menu called My Tickets. We hope that this will provide you a much easier access to view your correspondences with our support team without having to search through our inbox.
Access to Help Centre Articles
Most of our help centre articles will remain public for all users to view, without being required to log in. However, our articles related to feature requests as well as software change-logs have now been restricted to signed-in users only.
One of the main reasons is that our Feature Request section allows for anonymous voting which helps us track interest on existing requests. We want to ensure that we give priority to requests that our current customers want and need.
