Deletion of an Employee Profile
Employee profiles can only be deleted if they have no payslips issued, which can only be done by Buddy's team. These restrictions are in place to ensure a fair use of Buddy.
If you would like to remove such employees, kindly email the Support Team at uk@buddy.hr :
- If possible, rename the employee, for instance, giving them "To Delete" as a surname
- In the email, include the name and identifiable details of the employee
- Confirm that you will not need to restore the employee's data
When an employee already has payslips drafted or issued, they can no longer be deleted. It is advised to look at the Deletion of Payslips subsection to understand better what actions you can take.
Deletion of Payslips
Payslips are official legal documents, and once they have been issued, they cannot be deleted from Buddy.
If you need to edit payslips, you can still do so by re-opening a payroll.
Alternatively, you may want to conclude the payroll while the payslip is unsaved. Although it will remain in our database, it will be excluded from the .pdf reports and Tax Forms. To do so, follow the below instructions for some guidelines:
- Revert any changes in engagement or termination dates to prevent errors in calculating the payslip
- Open the relevant concluded payrolls from Payroll history.
- Unsave (edit) the payslip, and conclude the payroll while the payslip is still not saved. You should have a warning that at least one payslip has not been locked.
- Update the termination or engagement dates again, as is necessary
