During someone's employment, they might often update their personal or bank details, or an agreement is reached that requires you to update their Salary Details.
To reflect these changes on Buddy, go to People, find the employee and click on Edit Employee.
Updating Job & Salary Details
- Go to the People page
- Click on Edit next to the employee's name
- Go to the required tab (e.g. Role or Salary)
- Update the details as required. If you are applying a salary template, refer to Apply a Grade to an Employee's Salary
- Click Update (Bottom right)

Select “Overwrite previous Salary” to update the last saved settings, or “Create a new Salary” to select an effective date of the new salary settings.

Buddy will calculate any salary from that effective day onwards using the new agreement. If you have updated a salary mid-period, the payslip will show the calculation for both portions of the period automatically based on the updated agreement.
You can check the history of any changes done in the Audit Logs.
