If you need to add or deduct a one-time pay item, you should do so while running payroll.
- Go to the Run Payroll module
- In the expanded Employee Details, click Add Pay Item
- Select the pay item from the dropdown menu.
You can type in to filter the options (as per the screenshot below) - Input the amount*
- Calculate & Save the Payslip to save any changes you have done
* Do note that the type of input required may depend on the of allowance. Most allowances allow for the input in Pounds (which would show a £ icon, e.g., for a bonus) or in hours (when shown with a clock icon, e.g., for overtime).
Adding Custom Pay Items
If the desired pay item does not yet exist on Buddy, you can create a custom pay item from the Settings page. Check out our article on creating Custom Pay Items for more detailed instructions.
