Custom Overtime and Pay Items
Overtimes and Allowances can be created from the Company Settings. If you have not created these yet, check out the steps here: Payroll Settings Guide.
Saving Overtime Rates and Recurring Allowances for Employees
Once you have set these up, you can add them to your employee's agreement.
- Go to the People page
- Find and Edit the required employee
- Click on the Salary Details tab
- Add any applicable Overtime rates
- Add any recurring pay items and insert the periodic amount
- Update/Save Agreement
Whenever you Run Payroll, the pay item and overtime rows will immediately appear. You can edit the pay item amount if necessary, as well as insert the hours worked at that overtime rate.
Start and End Dates (Optional)
For any allowances that are given for a limited span (e.g. a bonus for the next 3 months), you can set a start or end date.
The allowance will only be included if the payroll is in the eligible range.
