Bulk Employee Changes
Bulk changes are ways to update the data of multiple employees in one go. This can be done either within Buddy's user interface or by uploading a .csv/.xlsx file.
Bulk Changes via Importation (File Upload)
Similar to the process, existing data can be updated by using the import.
- Go to People
- Click Import Employees
- Upload your sheet
- Select the format of the details you want to update (e.g. Bank Details, Salary Details, etc.)
- If you have previously configured a template, select that template, or otherwise use Auto-AI
- Click Verify Field Mapping
It's important to select an Employee field, such as ID Card number or Employee Reference that can be easily matched with existing employees.
For a better understanding of the mapping process, check out the main import article: Import Employees.
Bulk Changes through Buddy
Bulk Changes can be applied to employees who have been filtered through the Advance Filtering.
Advanced Filtering
Within the People page, you will see the option for Advanced Filters (Beta).
After selecting this, you can select multiple conditions, such as employment types and pay frequency.
Once you have completed your filtering, click Apply Filter.
The list of people will automatically show only employees who satisfy all conditions
Bulk Changes through Buddy
Select the type of change you want to attribute, such as salary change, and insert the amount or %.
For example, if you want to give a 5% increase, then set the salary as 105% of the current salary.
Then, select the Effective Date, and Previous Bulk Changes.
After you have verified the bulk changes, click Apply.
We recommend the use of Employee Data Report to view the employee data in bulk: see Generating and Downloading Buddy Reports.
Beta Limitations
While this feature is in beta, our team is actively aware of a few limitations.
Particularly, the types of filters and changes are limited in nature. In addition, some visible options, such as Grades, will not successfully apply their typical rules as they need more advanced configurations.
