The Audit Logs show you a detailed version of what changes have been done to employees, by whom, and when.
Within the top section, you can apply filters to Actions, Types and Dates, to narrow down your search, for example, to view only Salary changes.
For each Audit Log, you can click for a detailed view of the change by pressing the Eye icon on the right.
For example, in the below, we can see that the Weekly Hours were reduced from 40 to 36 by Jeremy, on January 15th.
Why Use Audit Logs?
Audit logs are helpful to understand when changes were made. These could be simply informational (e.g. who changed the tax rate?).
However, when there are concerns about calculations, Audit Logs can help troubleshoot instances such as:
- Why is the leave I added not in the payslip (e.g. payslip saved before leave was created)
- Why was the January payslip with a different tax rate (e.g. tax was saved in February)
